Our Food
Since we started food in May of 2007, our visitors book has been filled with wonderful compliments about the quality of our meals. We think that this support and enthusiasms comes firstly because of the value for money our meals offer, but also because of our commitment to providing fresh, local produce in simple traditional dishes.

The Trossachs and the surrounding areas produce some of the finest meat in the Britain, including venison, highland beef and lamb, and ultimately we would aim to source all of our meat from within the national park. We think you will taste the difference!

We have begun working closely with all our providers, accompanying our butcher, Campbell & Son, to auctions and going to visit the farmers at work.

Our steaks come principally from two farms Mains of Cultmalundie and Meadowlands in Clackmannan and our lamb comes from Inverlochlarig farm in Balquhidder.

All the venison comes from the hills and wood’s around Callander. It is brought to us either by hunters staying in the hotel, local stalkers or on the odd occasion, Alex, The Crags owner.
